The East Gippsland Police & Publicans Golf Day that is held annually at the Bairnsdale Golf Course this year raised funds to contribute towards the Cooper Trewin Memorial SUDC Research Fund. The glorious day managed to raise $6,000 and was enjoyed by all involved.

Major sponsors on the day PLUMTEC were extremely happy with the day and the amount of funds raised by the local Police and Publicans at the event. Cooper’s parents and both set of Grandparents attended the day and helped out with various roles in selling raffle tickets and putting competitions. The golfers got into the spirit of the day and their generosity for such a great cause was evident.

Detective Keith Richardson was on the loud speaker all day urging the players to make donations and enter the competitions to raise as much money for Cooper’s Fund as he could.

“The result was amazing and we have been able to help out a few charities here today with a large portion of the funds being raised going towards SUDC” Keith said.

“Many of the police here today know Rob, Kylie and Cooper and everybody feels for their family and this tragedy and are happy to help out and support the Trewin’s in their endeavours in raising funds to research the Sudden and Unexplained death in children” Keith said.
